  • Guided the University of Maryland to three Final Fours, eight Elite Eights, ten Sweet Sixteen appearances and eight ACC Championships
  • Became just the fifth Division I coach to earn at least 400 victories at one school- winning 499, the most wins in Maryland history
  • Maryland’s first Assistant Athletic Director for Women (1975-1980)
  • 1992 Naismith Coach of the Year and a two-time ACC Coach of the Year
  • Coached four U.S.A. National and Select Teams
  • Served as chair of the WBCA Legislative Committee and was a member of the USA Women’s Basketball Olympic Committee and Kodak All-America Committee
