- She officiated WNBA games from 1997-2011, including 13 WNBA Finals and two WNBA All-Star games
- Courteau officiated in 12 NCAA Women’s Final Fours including 5 National Championship games
- She participated in 20 NCAA Division I Championships and is currently the NCAA Coordinator of Officials
- Courteau was the 1989 Naismith Official of the Year and 1990 Atlantic Coast Conference Official of the Year.
- She was the 2013 recipient of the Jostens-Berenson Lifetime Achievement Award
- Courteau was an official for the 1992 Olympic games, 1991 Pan American games, and 1989 World Championship tournament.
- Courteau was the recipient of the 1998 Minnesota Girls & Women in Sports award for leadership and support of girls and women’s sports
