• Was often referred to as the "Father of the All-America Team"
• Involvement with women's basketball began with coaching clinics sponsored by Kodak in the early 1970s
• Made numerous significant contributions to the growth and development of women's basketball as the Manager of U.S. Sports and Events Programs for the Eastman Kodak Company
• Arranged an international basketball game between the USA and People's Republic of China Olympic teams in Rochester, NY (1975)
• Played a substantial role in the formation of the Kodak Women's All-America Basketball Team, leading the group that created the All-America program
• Managed the Kodak All-America program for 17 years, from its inception through his retirement (1975-1991)
• Made arrangements for the U.S. Olympic Women's basketball team to train in Rochester, NY, ahead of the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, working with the University of Rochester to secure facilities, dorms, and support materials
• Provided the impetus for organizing the foundation of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) (1981)
